About the position

The Workforce College Career Coach role at Tarrant To & Through (T3) Partnership is dedicated to supporting college students in Tarrant County as they navigate their educational journeys. The position aims to empower students by providing guidance, resources, and advocacy to help them achieve their academic and career goals. The Career Coach will work collaboratively with students, families, and community organizations to promote career readiness and increase awareness of T3 initiatives, ultimately contributing to systemic change in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Forge and sustain strong, trusting relationships with students, campus staff, and community groups.
  • Increase awareness of T3 initiatives among students, families, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to synchronize support services and resources for students.
  • Engage families in conversations about post-secondary pathways and furnish information on available resources.
  • Host a minimum of two student engagement events annually to advocate T3 initiatives and bolster student agency.
  • Demonstrate expertise in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) indicators and how they can be achieved.
  • Conduct group advising sessions to facilitate students' exploration of their interests, strengths, and aspirations.
  • Collaborate with campus advisors and administrators to support durable skills prep.
  • Conduct workshops to enlighten families and students on career pathway opportunities.
  • Advocate for students' needs, empowering them and their parents to navigate collegiate career systems effectively.
  • Maintain records of interactions, progress, and outcomes using Salesforce, creating reports on student engagement for program evaluation and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of professional experience in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) initiatives within a K-12 setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Knowledge of local and national workforce trends and policies.
  • Experience in data monitoring and data-informed decision-making.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual preferred.
