About The Position

The Workforce Coordinator is responsible for coordinating workforce education programs, focusing on delivering integrated education training opportunities for adult students. This role involves collaboration with employers and area managers to ensure quality educational services and the overall performance of workforce-based educational programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Two years of experience in a relevant position.
• General knowledge of computer systems and software applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Identifies partners and collaborators in delivering integrated education training opportunities for adult students.
• Works with employers to develop and coordinate appropriate workplace educational classes at multiple sites.
• Ensures quality of educational services and overall performance of integrated and workplace-based educational programs in collaboration with area managers.
• Assists the Career Pathways Manager in identifying, adapting, and customizing adult educational curricula for workforce-oriented programs.
• Monitors progress toward workforce-related outcomes, including obtaining and retaining employment, and transitioning to post-secondary education for students who have exited the program.
• Develops activities to enhance job-finding abilities of former and current students, such as job fairs and promoting employment opportunities.
• Identifies and implements effective workforce development strategies to improve outcomes for students in collaboration with Career Pathways Manager and Career Navigators.
• Carries out distance education for students whose primary educational activity is distance learning.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Adult Education.
