The Workforce Coordinator at the Nashville International Center for Empowerment (NICE) plays a crucial role in supporting refugees and immigrants in achieving their career goals. Established in 2005, NICE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through education and workforce development. The Workforce Coordinator is responsible for providing career coaching and developing workforce initiatives tailored for adult education students. This full-time position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, primarily from Monday to Friday, and is based in Nashville, TN. In this role, the Workforce Coordinator will coordinate various workforce development services, including Integrated Education & Training, pre-apprenticeships, workplace literacy, and employability seminars. The Coordinator will also contribute to the documentation of workforce services, which includes maintaining applications, objectives, career plans, and partnership agreements. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist in the development and implementation of new workforce development classes and lead workplace literacy classes. Supervision of part-time workforce instructors is also a key responsibility, along with providing personalized career coaching to adult education students. The Coordinator will be tasked with developing supplementary curriculum materials that promote workforce readiness skills across all adult education classes. Building and managing relationships with employers, schools, and workforce training providers is essential for the success of the program. The Coordinator will also attend training and professional development events as directed and collaborate with the adult education team to analyze program data for continuous improvement.
