About the position

The Workforce Development Case Manager for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe is responsible for securing employment opportunities for participants of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program. This role involves assisting participants in maintaining employment and providing necessary support services. The position requires a combination of case management, counseling, and administrative duties to ensure effective program delivery and participant success.

Responsibilities

  • Accept applications for WIOA services and review them to determine eligibility according to established criteria.
  • Develop service plans for each participant using the WIOA Individual Services Strategy (ISS) or Individual Educational Plan (IEP) forms.
  • Establish and maintain files for each participant, documenting all actions taken.
  • Oversee the activities of monitors and clerks working on the summer youth program as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all participant information.
  • Recruit adults and youth for the WIOA Program and make presentations on employment issues and school-to-work transitions.
  • Monitor participants engaged in program activities and resolve issues that may interfere with successful completion.
  • Counsel participants on vocational choices, educational opportunities, and workplace requirements.
  • Provide reports and information according to established timelines.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related results as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Three years of work experience in Social Services, Employment and Training, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Current Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
