As a Workforce Development Customized Corporate Trainer, you will bring your training experience and initiative to our Corporate Training and Development Team to collaborate and support Virginia Peninsula Community College's Workforce Development Corporate Training programs. The workforce development programs prioritize industry credential attainment and skill enhancement. While teaching experience is helpful, it is not required; however, professional experience and appropriate certification are critical. Our students expect to learn from seasoned professionals who can share their knowledge and relevant experience in the field. The student demographic can include novices, partially trained individuals, or experienced technicians seeking a credential. Non-Credit Adjunct Instructors are part-time and contracted on a course-by-course basis, as needed. Contracts may include a combination of teaching contact hours, classroom preparation and closure activities; curriculum design and lesson preparation; participant advising and support; and participant assignment assessment and evaluation. Training may take place on campus at the Hampton or Historic Triangle campuses or at off-site locations during the day, evening, or weekend. Some training may also be available on a virtual platform.
