About the position
The Workforce Development Manager at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to meet the organization's current and future talent needs. This role focuses on assessing workforce requirements, creating career pathways for employees and community job seekers, and developing partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to enhance workforce development initiatives. The position is integral to aligning workforce development efforts with MCW's strategic goals and ensuring staff mobility and upskilling within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a Workforce Development strategy that supports MCW's evolving talent needs.
- Collaborate with HR leadership and department administrators to develop and execute workforce development initiatives.
- Build and maintain partnerships with MCW leaders to forecast talent needs and identify retention concerns.
- Leverage external partnerships with educational and community organizations to advance workforce development goals.
- Participate in community events and job fairs to enhance outreach efforts.
- Establish measurable outcomes for workforce development initiatives and adopt evidence-based practices.
- Develop presentations, reports, and summaries to communicate findings and highlight successes.
Requirements
- Contemporary knowledge and understanding of workforce development strategies.
- Strong influencing skills across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in designing and implementing workforce development programs.
