The Workforce Development Program Manager will oversee the operations and quality of the Workforce Development Area (WDA) programs, guiding strategic planning and policy development while managing a multi-disciplinary team. This role is critical in shaping programs that assist job seekers and employers, particularly focusing on individuals with disabilities. The position offers a hybrid work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations, quality, and outcomes of the Workforce Development Area (WDA).
- Guide long-term program planning and policy establishment.
- Manage VR Supervisors and a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements
- Formal leadership role overseeing employees performing administrative support, professional, and/or program related functions.
- Experience managing programs, projects, services, or processes involving budgeting, performance monitoring, and resource planning.
- Ability to effectively communicate and maintain working relationships with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team to accomplish program goals.
Nice-to-haves
- Formal supervisory role overseeing employees in administrative support or program related functions.
- Experience leading the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives.
- Experience representing a program for negotiation and collaboration with partner agencies.
- Experience working in vocational rehabilitation.
