About the position

The Workforce Development Program Manager at Bayaud Enterprises is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Workforce Development (Rehabilitation), Micro Enterprise, and Career Center programming. This role focuses on developing the Career Center as a hub for job readiness education, providing support to individuals facing employment challenges, and managing partnerships with organizations like the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. The manager will also oversee microbusiness operations, ensuring participants gain work survival skills while earning income.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of Bayaud's Workforce Development, Micro Enterprise, and Career Center programming.
  • Develop and evolve the Career Center to provide education on job readiness.
  • Work with women referred by the Enterprising Women's Giving Circle for job training and placement assistance.
  • Coordinate volunteers serving as tutors, mentors, and trainers.
  • Maintain a close relationship with the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, processing referrals and recommending services.
  • Guide, train, mentor, and direct staff members in workforce development operations.
  • Create and manage budgets for fee-for-service, grants, and microbusiness revenue.
  • Maintain accurate billing and make program adjustments to stay within budget metrics.
  • Track client authorizations, fees, and timeframes for service provision and billing.
  • Enter data into the eLogic Genesis client management system in a timely manner.
  • Carry a caseload of 10-20 clients, providing career enhancement services.
  • Facilitate groups, classes, or presentations for career development.
  • Represent Bayaud Enterprises professionally with customers and partners.
  • Attend department and company meetings as required.
  • Empower staff to meet overall program goals and functions.
  • Develop rapport with participants to understand their barriers to employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least 4 years of experience as a teacher, rehabilitation counselor, career counselor, or related role.
  • Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Strong planning and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple funding sources and conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of training people in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office.
  • Career building skills including resume development and job retention services.
  • Understanding of barriers to employment faced by individuals with disabilities, trauma, or homelessness.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
  • Knowledge of the IPS model and supported employment principles.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $55,000 - $70,200 per year.
