About the position

The Workforce Development Trainer at Rosendin is responsible for facilitating workforce development initiatives across various project sites. This role includes onboarding new hires, conducting skills assessments, and providing both hands-on and classroom training in electrical skills. The trainer will work closely with Foremen, Journeymen, and Apprentices to enhance their technical knowledge and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Train Foremen, Journeymen, and Apprentices on electrical skills in both classroom and hands-on settings.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes in collaboration with the Safety department and administrative staff.
  • Manage new hires and provide training on Rosendin policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training on specific skills such as single line training/LOTO, conduit bending, electrical rough-in, and wire pulling.
  • Deliver workshops on table skills and onboarding training including Code of Excellence and Core values.
  • Raise awareness of NFPA-70E and qualified person standards.
  • Identify potential system problems and escalate them to relevant departments for resolution.
  • Utilize customer service skills to resolve issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Technical knowledge of mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft software applications.
  • Ability to learn and implement new applications quickly.
  • Self-starter with strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional interaction with employees, vendors, and others.

Nice-to-haves

  • Management level experience preferred.
  • Construction industry knowledge is required.
  • Journeyman wireman certification.
