About the position

The Workforce Management Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of scheduling and attendance management within the organization. This position is primarily responsible for completing daily schedule reports and making necessary adjustments based on callouts and the daily business needs of the Venetian Resort. The Specialist must adhere to departmental policies and the overall standards of the resort while performing their duties. Key responsibilities include managing the Team Member phone line for callouts and replacements, ensuring timely notifications are sent to the relevant departments. The Specialist will print daily roster schedules, pit sheet compacts, duty sheets, and daily timesheets, distributing them to the appropriate departments. Additionally, they will assist in maintaining Virtual Roster Employee Profiles, which include important details such as skills, work rules, seniority, and roles. Daily updates to the Rex system regarding housekeeping credit assignments and monitoring current room statuses are also essential tasks that support the Housekeeping and Front Office teams. Accurate maintenance of daily attendance and call logs is critical, as safety and consistent attendance are fundamental aspects of this role. The Specialist may also be assigned other related duties as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the workforce management process. The position requires a professional demeanor at all times, in line with the Venetian Resort's standards of conduct, ensuring effective communication with guests and team members alike.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily schedule reports and make adjustments based on callouts and business needs.
  • Manage Team Member phone line for callouts and replacements, notifying departments promptly.
  • Print daily roster schedules, pit sheet compacts, duty sheets, and daily timesheets for distribution.
  • Print weekly refusal logs and send them to appropriate departments.
  • Assist in maintaining Virtual Roster Employee Profiles, including skills, work rules, seniority, and roles.
  • Update Rex daily with housekeeping credit assignments and monitor room statuses for updates to teams.
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance and call logs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 1 - 2 years of scheduling experience in a hotel/resort setting.
  • Previous experience with a Four- or Five-Star hotel/resort preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in workforce management for at least 1 year.
