About the position

The Workforce Program Coordinator is a full-time role within the workforce development team at Manufacturing Works, responsible for overseeing the successful operation of pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs in Lorain, Erie, and Huron counties. This position focuses on enhancing workforce development in the manufacturing sector by building relationships with stakeholders, recruiting participants, and ensuring compliance with program standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and implementation of pre-apprenticeship programs in manufacturing and related industries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to meet program standards and develop new programs.
  • Recruit and enroll students into the WorkAdvance Program and work-based learning activities.
  • Facilitate and organize work-based learning activities with partner schools and organizations.
  • Facilitate career coaching curriculum for tours, guest speakers, job shadows, and internships.
  • Connect job seekers with employment opportunities and develop a strong employer network.
  • Provide support to employers with talent planning and workforce needs.
  • Engage Manufacturing Works members and affiliates with programs.
  • Build opportunities for participants to transition from pre-apprenticeship to registered apprenticeship programs.
  • Collaborate with other programs within the workforce department to support overall mission.
  • Ensure timely program results, data management, and compliance with stakeholders and grant requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (3+ years in related field/industry).
  • 2+ years of experience in workforce development and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Teams, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience in pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs.
  • Experience in vocational education or K-12 settings.
