About the position
William Blair is offering a 10-week internship program for undergraduate students during the summer of 2025, aimed at promoting technology careers among high-performing individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. The program includes training, community service, and social events, providing a comprehensive introduction to project management in a technology context.
Responsibilities
- Create project plans, timelines, and other necessary documentation to support business and project objectives
- Work with project management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps and Teams, and Smartsheet
- Gather and translate business requirements into user stories for the development team
- Assist with facilitation of daily team meetings, agile ceremonies, and keep information about the team's progress up-to-date and visible to all parties
- Assist the team in conducting data and system analysis
- Analyze product functions and processes built around user needs
- Develop needed metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity for improvement
Requirements
- Full-time students currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a business or technology related field with anticipated graduation between December 2025 and June 2028
- Must be organized and have a high attention to detail
- Good communication, presentation and critical thinking skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Works well in team environments
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
