About The Position

The Workplace Financial Consultant (WFC) at Fidelity is responsible for enhancing participant engagement and plan sponsor advocacy within local workplace communities. This role involves providing financial advice to participants through various formats, including one-on-one meetings and workshops, while collaborating with plan sponsors and internal partners to develop tailored strategies for success. The WFC plays a crucial role in ensuring participants are equipped to make informed financial decisions, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and the success of Fidelity's services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 5 years of financial services experience
  • Series 7 and 66 required (or S63/S65 combo equivalent)
  • 2+ years of customer facing experience preferred
  • Life & Annuity Certification preferred
  • CFP® or CRPC® preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Financial Planning Concepts
  • Demonstrated advanced presenting experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve/prepare for new challenges
  • Willingness to engage in complex conversations with a clear call to action
  • Ability to achieve mastery of advanced planning and advice topics across Corporate & TEM
  • Ability to build plan sponsor advocacy and access
  • Consistent track record of success in prior role
  • Willingness to travel (up to 75%)

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 financial planning and investment advice appointments to plan participants both virtually and in-person
  • Apply the Fidelity Relationship Model during participant interactions
  • Educate participants on introductory topics in a 1: many format via onsite workshops and Ask Fidelity sessions
  • Conduct ongoing engagement planning with plan sponsors
  • Network with participants hosting lunch and learns, help desk sessions, and by attending benefits fairs
  • Manage relationships with local branch business partners, strengthening the Personal Workplace Advantage/Partnership
