About the position

The Workplace Operations & Facilities Manager at HII Mission Technologies will oversee the operational management of the global real estate portfolio, ensuring effective facilities management and workplace services. This role involves leading teams, managing budgets, directing maintenance work, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of facilities management and project management for the global real estate portfolio.
  • Drive operational and process improvements for savings and productivity.
  • Create and communicate a scalable Facilities Management vision.
  • Improve facility operations efficiency with a focus on standardization and employee experience.
  • Develop and implement the Facilities Management staffing strategy model.
  • Manage financial performance, including operating budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with energy and sustainability requirements.
  • Partner with the EHS team to maintain safe work environments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within the division and enterprise-wide.

Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 6 years with a Master's; or 12 years with a High School Diploma.
  • Proven track record in building and leading a facilities management team.
  • Deep understanding of facilities management best practices and trends.
  • Significant project management experience, including large-scale projects.
  • Ability to influence others and drive change effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic environments and solve complex problems.
  • Financial management skills for developing and executing plans.
  • Experience in process improvement and implementing efficiency solutions.
  • Formal supervision experience, including training and performance evaluations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with senior management.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in facilities management.
  • Experience working with outsourced service providers and managing vendors.
  • Experience leading cross-business and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of Program and Project management.
