About the position

At Apple, the Worldwide Readiness Product Launch Analyst plays a crucial role in managing the complexities of new product introductions and sustaining product initiatives across various teams, including Operations, Sales, and Engineering. This position is focused on the operational execution plan for go-to-market strategies, ensuring that new products are launched successfully while maintaining confidentiality. The analyst will be responsible for connecting cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to facilitate the rollout of new products to market. This involves establishing and communicating key milestones, analyzing supply chain models, and creating and documenting processes to drive continuous improvement across diverse geographical groups. The analyst will socialize, debate, and establish the Launch Plan of Record, which defines the movement of finished products from factories to customers and points of sale globally. They will analyze supply chain data to understand dependencies, gates, and milestones, evaluate risks, and develop contingency plans to mitigate consumer impact. The role requires preparing cross-functional operational teams for new product launch plans, providing timely updates, and elevating critical risks to both cross-functional and executive teams. The analyst will ensure that launch deliverables are on track and that systems are set up for execution. In addition, the analyst will drive creative problem-solving while weighing implications, tracking critical milestones, and recommending changes. They will assess regulatory impacts on existing products and define strategies to ensure compliance. The role also involves influencing launch strategy decisions through data analysis and collaboration, aligning product assortment strategies by market and channel, and partnering with E-Commerce and IT teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences. Post-mortem analyses will be conducted for each launch to identify root causes and opportunities for continuous process improvement. The analyst will document and implement new processes effectively through change management and cross-functional collaboration, ultimately owning and managing the Launch Plan of Record to ensure successful product movement across Apple's complex network of points of sale.

Responsibilities

  • Socialize, debate, and establish the Launch Plan of Record for key dates defining product movement from factories to customers.
  • Analyze supply chain data to understand dependencies, gates, and milestones.
  • Evaluate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate consumer impact.
  • Prepare cross-functional operational teams on new product launch plans.
  • Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to cross-functional and executive teams.
  • Ensure that launch deliverables are on track and systems are set up for execution.
  • Drive creative problem solving while tracking critical milestones and recommending changes.
  • Assess regulatory impacts on existing products and define compliance strategies.
  • Influence launch strategy decisions through data analysis and collaboration.
  • Analyze and align product assortment strategies by market and channel.
  • Partner with E-Commerce and IT teams for online store setup and testing.
  • Drive post-mortem analysis for each launch to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Document and implement new processes through change management and collaboration.
  • Partner with Product Localization teams to identify SKU reduction opportunities and drive best practices globally.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or 7 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Highly effective communication skills; ability to present to and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and influence in a matrix organization.
  • In-depth experience in program and/or project management.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into actionable plans.
  • Maniacal attention to details.
  • Must be able to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven track record of success leading complex global projects in New Product Introductions, Supply Demand Planning, Order Management, or Logistics.
