About the position

The Worship/Creative Director at First Nazarene Church is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing worship experiences and engaging the community. This position involves leading weekend services, overseeing the worship planning process, and managing the Worship Team. The director will work closely with other ministry areas to ensure a cohesive and impactful worship environment, fostering growth and discipleship within the church community.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend services to help all people know God and serve others, considering the perspective of newcomers to the church.
• Lead the worship planning process to create, plan, and implement worship experiences.
• Oversee recruiting, training, onboarding, scheduling, development, and care of the Worship Team.
• Collaborate with the online and tech leader to ensure excellence in worship experiences.
• Participate in staff meetings, denominational activities, and Irresistible Church Network activities as directed by the Lead Pastor.
• Support other ministry areas as needed, including participation in weddings, funerals, and other functions.

Requirements

• Ability to lead well vocally.
• Strong verbal communication skills, comfortable speaking on stage between songs and during services.
• Creative mindset to plan worship services centered around the Lead Pastor's big idea.
• Magnetic leadership skills to lead the existing team and attract new members.
• Commitment to pray for the church and its members.
• A call to worship ministry and shepherding individuals on the team.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong creative, musical, and vocal talent.
• Proven administration and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in training and developing volunteers.
