About the position
The Worship Leader at BRAVE Church is a pivotal role responsible for cultivating a vibrant and passionate worship culture that exalts Christ. This individual will lead both full-time and part-time staff, as well as volunteers and other groups assigned by the Lead Worship Pastor. The ideal candidate will embrace a philosophy that balances the inerrancy of the Word of God with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, ensuring that worship is both biblically sound and spiritually enriching. In this role, the Worship Leader will be tasked with leading worship during services and staff prayer events, as well as assisting in the planning and implementation of music that aligns with the theological integrity of song lyrics. The position requires a proactive approach to training and coordinating the BRAVE Worship vocal and band teams, ensuring that all members are equipped and prepared for their roles. The Worship Leader will also assist the Lead Worship Pastor in departmental planning and project implementation, contributing to the achievement of weekly goals. Additionally, the Worship Leader will host open auditions to expand the worship team, care for the existing team members, and participate in major worship projects that align with the church's mission. This role demands a high level of organization, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively while fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead worship for the services of BRAVE, as well as staff prayer events.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of the music, focusing on the theology of song lyrics.
- Train and coordinate BRAVE Worship vocal/band teams.
- Assist the Lead Worship Pastor with department planning and implementation of projects.
- Host open auditions for worship team expansion.
- Care for the BRAVE Worship Team and support their development.
- Participate in major worship projects and help achieve department goals.
- Train, coordinate, and schedule the vocal teams at the designated campus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of worship leading experience in a local church.
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn and use RockRMS software.
- Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online software.
- Proficiency in voice and piano or guitar.
- Ability to create, coordinate, and lead a worship experience with a team.
- Ability to recognize, recruit, and develop top talent for worship team expansion.
