About the position

The Wound Care Director at Gesture Health Group is responsible for overseeing wound care management for patients with complex wounds. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' wounds and overall health status.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
• Administer appropriate wound care treatments and interventions.
• Monitor patients' progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about wound care management and prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
• Supervise nursing staff in wound care procedures and ensure adherence to protocols.
• Participate in budgeting processes related to wound care supplies and resources.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) with relevant experience in acute or critical care settings.
• Strong knowledge of wound care principles and practices.
• Experience in nurse management or supervising nursing staff is preferred.
• Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus.
• Excellent patient monitoring skills with the ability to assess changes in condition rapidly.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of budgeting processes related to healthcare services is beneficial.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
