About the position

Ingleside Communities is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to join their healthcare team. This role involves assessing and treating wounds from accidents and surgical procedures, coordinating care with physicians, and educating patients and families on healing practices. The position is part-time, requiring 2-3 days of work per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate departmental needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Educate patients and families on best practices to promote healing and wellness
  • Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
  • Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery processes
  • Fulfill other nursing duties as required

Requirements

  • BSN degree (strongly preferred)
  • Current state licensure as a registered nurse (RN)
  • CPR and basic life support (BLS) certifications
  • Certification and prior experience in wound care
  • Prior experience in inpatient and palliative care (preferred)
  • Current RN License in the state of Wisconsin
  • Clinical experience and knowledge of CDC guidelines/definitions
  • Familiar with The Joint Commission Standards and Federal/State Regulations
