About the position

The Health Center at Standifer Place is committed to providing the highest quality medical care for our residents. We offer a range of services from short-term to long-term care, all on one campus. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team of professionals as we strive to improve our services for both existing and future residents. Our company is progressive and dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare. We value the skills of our partners and have a strong appreciation program in place. Currently, we have RN and LPN positions available, with a sign-on bonus for full-time employees upon interview.

Responsibilities

  • Provides resident care by utilizing the nursing process in assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
  • Exhibits organizational abilities related to work flow and prioritizing resident care needs.
  • Supports the mission of HCSP and exemplifies The Better Way through leadership and demeanor.
  • Represents the center positively in the medical community and the community as a whole.
  • Works with the interdisciplinary care team to assure accurate patient assessment and development/revision of individualized plans of care.
  • Maintains open and ongoing communication with patients and families, encouraging participation in decision making.
  • Assures that nursing partners have been assigned duties.
  • Makes rounds with specific attention to high acuity patients.
  • Monitors unit/units to ensure appropriate nursing care is provided and that doctors and families are notified of changes in patients' conditions.
  • Assumes responsibility for assisting with medications and treatments as needed, including IV fluids and IV medications.
  • Assists with admitting patients as required.
  • Assists with hiring and orientation of new nursing partners.
  • Assures the personal dignity and physical safety of each patient.
  • Assists physician during rounds.
  • Supervises LPNs and other nursing partners as assigned and completes performance evaluations as required.
  • Makes changes in staffing schedule as indicated by absence and illness.
  • Carries out personnel disciplinary actions promptly and effectively.
  • Maintains the security of the premises and directs unauthorized persons to leave.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Relieves other shifts if needed.
  • Assures resident safety.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Maintains a current unencumbered license to practice in the state where employed.
  • Ability to meet performance requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining clinical competency as evidenced by application of integrated nursing knowledge and skills.
  • Utilizes the nursing process in assessment, planning, and implementing care.
  • Exhibits organizational ability related to work flow and prioritizing to meet patient care needs.
  • Integrates current standards of practice as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to nursing services.
