The Borgen Project is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual for the Writer/Journalist Internship. This role is focused on content creation for BORGEN Magazine and The Borgen Project Blog, contributing to the organization's mission of improving living conditions for people affected by war, famine, and poverty. As an intern, you will engage in various tasks that support the advocacy efforts of The Borgen Project, which has a rich history of working at the political level to influence legislation that benefits millions in developing countries. This is a part-time, remote internship requiring a commitment of 12 hours per week over a duration of 12 weeks. However, if your availability is limited, you have the flexibility to work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks. The internship is unpaid, but college credit is available, making it an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain experience in media and journalism while contributing to a meaningful cause. Interns will be expected to meet weekly deadlines, participate in online meetings, and submit weekly progress updates. The Borgen Project values diversity and encourages individuals from various backgrounds to apply, emphasizing that passion and a strong work ethic are more important than academic credentials. This internship is an opportunity to make a tangible impact while developing your writing and research skills in a supportive environment.
