About the position

The Solutions Operations division at S&P Global is seeking a Senior Operations Associate/Analyst to join our Global Special Services Team. This role is pivotal in providing real-time access to our clients' portfolios and reporting insights, which are essential for active asset management and deal administration. The WSO (Wall Street Office) supports complex aspects of alternatives asset management through our WSO Administrator and WSO Agent product suites, which enhance operational efficiency while minimizing risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of daily activities across various asset types, including Loans, Bonds, ABS, Equities, and CDS. This position requires a flexible individual with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of engaging with various levels of management both internally and externally. In this role, the Senior Operations Associate/Analyst will investigate discrepancies by reviewing source documentation and faxes from the agent bank, ensuring proper monitoring of facilities through system-generated reports, and handling exception items. The candidate will interact with relevant individuals to gather necessary information to accurately reflect data in the system and will be expected to handle requests from different departments or clients within a one-hour turnaround. Additionally, the role involves completing special projects as assigned, leading research and projects on cross-product integrations, and enhancing workflows to support client business requirements and strategic growth. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for all Solutions products and service offerings, participating in internal and external client meetings to analyze needs and make recommendations on operational flows and product usage. The position offers a competitive salary range and is eligible for an annual incentive plan, along with additional benefits provided by S&P Global. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, with a strong background in customer service and the ability to manage projects independently. Experience in the financial and/or syndicated loan industry is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and accurately process daily activities for all asset types (Loans, Bonds, ABS, Equities, CDS).
  • Investigate discrepancies by reviewing source documentation and faxes from the agent bank.
  • Review system-generated reports to ensure proper monitoring of the facilities and handle exception items.
  • Interact with appropriate individuals/entities to gather all pertinent information/details to reflect data accurately in the system.
  • Handle requests from different departments/clients within an hour's turnaround.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Lead research and projects on cross-product integrations and workflow enhancement to support the client's business requirements and strategic growth.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all Solutions products and service offerings, participating in internal and external client meetings to analyze client needs and make recommendations.

Nice-to-haves

  • WSO and/or LoanIQ processing experience.
  • Private debt and broadly syndicated loan processing experience.
  • Syndicated loan-specific cash reconciliation and/or position reconciliation.
  • 3-5 years of work experience within the financial and/or syndicated loan industry.
  • Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Data research and analytics experience.
