Responsibilities

  • Oversee the warranty programs' claim process (customer and vendor facing)
  • Identify process improvements
  • Develop procedures and work instructions
  • Create and implement strategies to maximize cost recovery from suppliers or other third parties
  • Identify warranty-related cost recovery opportunities and help train warranty and material administrators on how to secure reimbursements
  • Work closely with the Material group to help them ensure vendor's accountability for warranty-related costs due to parts defects or quality issues
  • Implement process feedback loops with quality assurance and engineering teams to address parts' issues that contribute to warranty claims
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with all stakeholders, focusing on collaborative improvement efforts
  • Partner with customer service teams to ensure a positive customer experience and smooth claim process
  • Analyze warranty claims data to identify trends, root causes and recurring parts' issues
  • Set up detailed reports and dashboards for senior leadership, highlighting claims performance, recovery rates and opportunities for cost reduction
  • Work closely with cross functional stakeholders (Material, Spares Warranty and Finance groups) to forecast warranty related expenses and mitigate risks
  • Compile training materials and provide appropriate training and support to cross-functional teams on warranty policies, cost recovery practices and tools
  • Assist Business Development team with AI-assisted claim adjudication projects
  • Provide general administrative support to the warranty team as needed, for example updating databases
  • Conduct market research on claim administration best practices
  • Participate in special projects or cross-functional initiatives
  • Back-up support for other team members within department during absences
  • Provide assistance with internal audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Five years of experience in warranty management, cost recovery, supply chain or related field
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Proven analytical abilities and experience with data-driven decision making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with others with little direct supervision

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree
  • Previous experience in aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with warranty-related legal and regulatory requirements
