About the position
Athena Sciences Corporation is seeking an intern to assist in developing systems to aid in computer vision and/or object detection problems relating to biometric matching systems. The candidate will report to Athena Sciences Corporation's office and work within an established Agile SCRUM team to develop technical solutions and implement functional software. The candidate will estimate task effort, provide expertise in problem solving, work closely with other engineers in team meetings and design sessions, peer review other developers' code, and be flexible in learning all aspects of the system under development. The candidate possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks; has the ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments; plans and leads major technology assignments; evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success; functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- BS in Computer Science/Mathematics or related degree
- Enrolled in Graduate School
- US Citizenship required
- Experience with C/C++
- Experience with Python
