About the position
The Faculty Onboarding & Integration Specialist is responsible for overseeing the onboarding, integration, and retention of new clinical faculty at West Virginia University Hospitals. This role ensures a smooth and efficient onboarding experience, facilitating engagement and productivity from the start of employment.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and manages physician onboarding and integration programs to enhance faculty retention and engagement.
- Establishes and maintains engagement with new faculty from the date of the signed offer letter through the first 12 months of employment.
- Collaborates with various departments to ensure a timely and efficient onboarding experience for new clinical faculty.
- Acts as the main point of contact for new clinical faculty, guiding them through credentialing, provider enrollment, and the new hire process.
- Identifies and recommends new policies and initiatives to improve the onboarding experience.
- Updates faculty records in onboarding and HRIS software as progress is made during onboarding.
- Implements an Onboarding Portal for faculty to complete requirements electronically.
- Develops and updates onboarding reports, templates, and checklists, and analyzes data to demonstrate the impact of onboarding on retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience in faculty onboarding, recruitment, retention, or project management in healthcare.
- Driver's License is required.
