About the position

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst on the Public Sector Technical Operations team at AWS, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights for the Solutions Architecture (SA) team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that business leaders have access to relevant reports and data tools, enabling them to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will collaborate closely with leadership, define reporting timelines, and provide training on data tools, all while demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Be a key contributor to all aspects of Public Sector SA reporting and analysis ensuring timeliness, completeness and accuracy of reporting
• Work closely with Global Business Operations and other Business Intelligence teams to align with company standards in data reporting
• Act as a subject matter expert on BI best practices and relevant AWS and 3rd-party tools
• Identify current reporting gaps and create road maps to bridge those gaps
• Help the Public Sector SA team balance short-term tactical goals with long-term strategies
• Enable SA leaders by providing business insights to manage their book of business
• Partner with support teams to deliver cross-functional support to SA leaders
• Design, build, and operate a framework to measure and evaluate SA effectiveness and impact

Requirements

• 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Experience with industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or R)

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or advanced technical degree
• Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
• Experience with statistical analysis and correlation analysis
