About the position

The X-Ray Technician Limited Scope/Medical Assistant role involves operating X-ray equipment and providing high-quality patient care in a radiology setting. The position is part-time and requires a commitment to delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during radiographic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and reviewing the physician's request for radiographic procedures and identifying the patient prior to conducting scans.
• Performing x-rays on a variety of body parts utilizing the appropriate equipment and established standards and procedures.
• Producing films of the X-ray and providing it to the requesting physician.
• Ensuring images are legibly labeled with correct date and patient identification.
• Monitoring the patient's well-being and recognizing patient discomfort or medical problems and taking appropriate action.
• Assisting with front desk duties when needed.
• Checking inventory, ensuring rooms have adequate supplies, restocking where needed.
• Greeting members/patients ensuring they receive a high-level of customer service.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, required.
• Current California State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Limited Scope X-Ray Technician required.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience utilizing X-Ray technology.
• Extraordinary organizational skills and comfort with EMR systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Urgent care experience, strong plus.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
