About the position
Comcast is seeking a technical and network subject matter expert to join the XFINITY Communities sales team. This role is pivotal in evaluating acquisition and renewal opportunities, developing and recommending product and network designs, and tracking these through the sales and implementation process. The successful candidate will act as the regional subject matter expert for products, competitive technologies, and network options, serving as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders when engaging in complex RFP or bid responses. The focus of this position is to deliver a positive customer experience in line with Comcast standards, providing leadership to ensure that solutions are comprehensive and meet customer expectations and business needs. The role requires collaboration with various teams, including construction, network, engineering, and sales support, to ensure a seamless sales process. In this position, you will analyze customer requirements to understand how Comcast's products and services can be applied to meet their needs. You will be responsible for translating technical design requirements into sales presentations that showcase your technical knowledge of Comcast's offerings. As part of the sales process, you will play a key role in preparing RFPs by designing cost-effective solutions and addressing prospective configuration challenges. Setting appropriate expectations and following up with customers on project timelines and completion will be essential to drive sales closure and achieve goals. You will collaborate with Network Engineering, Architecture Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Service Delivery, Product Management, Product Development, HQ Sales Operations, and Marketing teams to fully support the sales and implementation process. Your ability to recommend products that meet customer needs will be crucial, as will your independent judgment and discretion in significant matters. Regular attendance, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary, is required. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and needs to understand how Comcast products and services can be technically applied to meet the needs of the customer.
- Translate technical design requirements and create and deliver sales presentations that demonstrate technical knowledge of Comcast products and services.
- Play a key role in the preparation of RFPs by designing cost-effective solutions and solving prospective configuration challenges through the standard or Individual Case Basis (ICB) process.
- Set appropriate expectations and follow up with the customer on project timeline and completion.
- Drive sales closure to shorten the sales cycle and ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering, Architecture Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Service Delivery, Product Management, Product Development, HQ Sales Operations and Marketing teams to fully support the sales and implementation process.
- Recommend products to meet customer needs.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred, but a combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience may be considered.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a technical or network-related role.
