About the position

As a Sales Engineer for Xfinity Communities, you will serve as the technical and network subject matter expert for the sales team and other support organizations, including construction, network, engineering, and sales support. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate acquisition and renewal opportunities, develop and recommend product and network designs, and track these through the sales and implementation process. You will act as the regional subject matter expert for products, competitive technologies, and network options, serving as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders when engaging in complex RFP or bid responses. Your focus will be on delivering a positive customer experience in line with Comcast standards, providing leadership to ensure that Comcast solutions are comprehensive, meet customer expectations, and fulfill customer business needs. You will work collaboratively with the sales team, taking a lead role on the technical side of the sale, ensuring that all customer requirements are met effectively. In this role, you will analyze customer requirements to understand how Comcast products and services can be technically applied to meet their needs. You will translate technical design requirements into sales presentations that showcase your technical knowledge of Comcast's offerings. As part of the sales process, you will play a key role in preparing RFPs by designing cost-effective solutions and addressing prospective configuration challenges through standard or Individual Case Basis (ICB) processes. Setting appropriate expectations and following up with customers on project timelines and completion will be crucial to your success. You will drive sales closure to shorten the sales cycle and ensure that goals and objectives are achieved. Collaboration with various teams, including Network Engineering, Architecture Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Service Delivery, Product Management, and Marketing, will be essential to fully support the sales and implementation process. You will also recommend products that best meet customer needs, exercising independent judgment and discretion in significant matters. Regular attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary are expected. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
