About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Xfinity Retail is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the store, ensuring a best-in-class experience for both customers and the retail sales team. This role involves providing leadership, coaching, and motivation to the team, while also maintaining a performance-based culture. The Assistant Store Manager collaborates with other leaders to meet operational goals and ensures that the store environment aligns with branding standards and inventory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves all sales and service metrics through daily supervision and coaching of the retail sales team.
  • Proactively coaches and develops the store team to perform their responsibilities at a high level.
  • Provides onboarding support and feedback to new hires to ensure they are on track with their training.
  • Ensures the store environment follows published planograms and branding standards.
  • Oversees daily sales floor responsibilities, including staffing, scheduling, and customer escalations.
  • Drives operational consistency with a focus on back of house standards and showroom processes.
  • Evaluates current processes for improvement and innovation.
  • Leads store inventory cycle counts and ensures compliance with requirements.
  • Reviews store reports for improvement opportunities in sales, inventory, and productivity.
  • Coaches team members on product positioning with customers.
  • Ensures high levels of courtesy and professionalism in customer interactions.
  • Stays current on products, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Administers cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Monitors customer feedback and takes action to improve the store experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of coursework and experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in retail or sales management.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of company products and services.
  • Ability to manage inventory effectively and ensure compliance with standards.
