About The Position

The Yard Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of equipment and trucks within the facility. This role involves conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and adhering to safety and environmental policies. The Yard Attendant works closely with facility managers to establish operational procedures and contributes to team efforts by maintaining a positive work environment and supporting safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
• Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products, and relevant Dealer software programs (highly desired).
• Problem-solving ability and creativity to generate solutions within established boundaries.

• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies.
• Direct the incoming and outgoing movement of equipment and trucks for the facility.
• Establish operational procedures with facility managers to ensure efficient flow and organization.
• Perform basic inspections of incoming equipment to determine its physical condition and recommend repairs if necessary.
• Complete required documentation utilizing appropriate software for incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area while looking for ways to improve work methods and safety standards.
• Attend and complete required training classes for the Yard Attendant role.
• Assist with maintaining the facility by following proper contamination control guidelines and performing general maintenance duties.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
