About the position
The Yard Coordinator at OnTrac plays a vital role in managing the movement of trailers in and out of the yard facility, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication with drivers and yard workers. This position is essential for maintaining an organized and efficient yard environment, contributing to the overall success of the logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Check-in Vendors/Drivers upon arrival.
- Coordinate trailer movement with Management and Yard Switchers (Hostlers) in the unload area.
- Ensure proper dock setup and con gear placement.
- Perform thorough yard checks.
- Provide reports detailing all trailer pick-ups.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- At least one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent of both.
- One year of leadership experience preferred.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
