About the position

The Yard Coordinator at OnTrac plays a vital role in managing the movement of trailers in and out of the yard facility. This position involves overseeing yard workers, coordinating with incoming drivers, and ensuring smooth traffic flow within the facility. The role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Check-in Vendors/Drivers upon arrival.
• Coordinate trailer movement with Management and Yard Switchers (Hostlers) in the unload area.
• Ensure proper dock setup and gear placement.
• Perform thorough yard checks.
• Provide reports detailing all trailer pick-ups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent of both.
• One year of leadership experience preferred.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
