About the position

The Yard Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of heavy equipment into and out of the yard, ensuring proper documentation, cleanliness, and organization. This role is crucial for maintaining customer relationships through effective communication and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the trafficking process for all equipment that enters or leaves the yard.
• Check in/Check out of equipment accurately and inspect the condition providing pictures and accurate documentation.
• Participate in the preparation of equipment for rental, sale, and/or demo.
• Responsible for all equipment entering the yard until transferred to service.
• Support the service department, as needed.
• Safely operate all equipment located on the yard.
• Wash the exterior and interior of equipment to as new condition.
• Utilize technology to document machine condition, communicate with internal and external customers via email and text, and utilize systems to track working times.
• Note customer damage and provide repair estimates based on experience and ability to utilize resources.
• Ensure the yard is organized, clean and presentable at all times, informing management of any related concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Forklift Certification
• Customer service skills
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Basic computer skills
• Mechanical knowledge
