About the position

The Yard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations within the yard, ensuring efficient handling of inventory and compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and warehouse knowledge to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer all operations and ensure compliance.
• Supervise all customer and company staff operations.
• Ensure proper handling of all materials.
• Monitor loading of materials to ensure safe transfer to other locations.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and place purchase orders as necessary.
• Manage the training of yard personnel and follow policies and safety procedures.
• Ability to work on mechanical issues if needed.
• Complete weekly/monthly reports.
• Monitor productivity and loss prevention.
• Communicate efficiently with team members and daily goals.
• Ensure inbound and outbound inventory is tracked, organized and in good standing.

Requirements

• Management Experience - 2 years
• Warehouse supervisor experience - 2 years
• Bilingual a plus
• Computer knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Good communication and presentation skills.
