About the position

The YES Quality Control Supervisor at Yancey Bros. Co. is responsible for overseeing quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier quality, and material technology. This role involves implementing daily quality procedures, ensuring compliance with specifications, and supervising quality control personnel to maintain high standards throughout the assembly process.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily procedures and review/assess activities against internal control standards.
• Ensure conformance to specifications of fabrications, purchased material, and assemblies in an assigned area.
• Interpret inspection policies and procedures and supervise the activities of personnel.
• Verify that quality is maintained throughout the assembly process.
• Conduct start of shift quality meetings and ensure team members are checked in.
• Ensure quality equipment is in place and expectations are communicated to the team at the start of the shift.
• Conduct daily rounds in each functional area and stay in their area of responsibility.
• Communicate with Team Leads before leaving the work area.
• Conduct end of shift 5S walk and ensure pass down reports are communicated for the next shift.
• Conduct initial training and assessment of quality controllers.
• Perform other duties as assigned and qualified.

Requirements

• High school diploma and/or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
• Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach production decisions based on informed judgment.
• Ability to plan and organize both time and resources systematically.
• Ability to impact decisions within and outside the organization.
• Ability to maintain focus on continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.
• Ability to create, implement, evaluate, and enhance processes in internal controls.
