About the position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Yoga Instructor to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in yoga practices and a commitment to promoting physical and mental well-being. As a Yoga Instructor, you will lead classes, guide students through various poses, and create an inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and mindfulness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging yoga classes for individuals of all skill levels, ensuring proper alignment and technique.
• Develop class plans that incorporate various styles of yoga, including Hatha, Vinyasa, or Yin.
• Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate different abilities and injuries.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages students to explore their practice and achieve their fitness goals.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics to ensure safe practice.
• Promote wellness initiatives within the community through workshops or special events.
• Collaborate with other fitness professionals to create holistic health programs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and continue personal education in yoga and related disciplines.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of fitness sales techniques to promote classes effectively.
• Understanding of physiology to enhance student safety and performance.
• Experience in CrossFit or sports coaching is a plus for integrating diverse fitness methodologies.
• Background in dance or kickboxing can be beneficial for dynamic class offerings.
• Proficiency in personal training principles to provide individualized attention.
• Familiarity with Pilates can enhance class variety and student engagement.
• Experience working in a health club setting is preferred but not mandatory.
