Our campus has an immediate opening for a Yoga Teacher. This position provides a student-centered, supportive classroom that promotes compassion and tolerance, emotional security, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of each student through Fusion’s differentiated approach. The Yoga Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that fosters holistic growth and well-being among students in grades 6-12. The role requires a commitment to adapting and differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that each individual feels valued and supported in their learning journey. In this position, the Yoga Teacher will provide one-to-one teaching experiences in yoga, maintaining complete and accurate records of student progress and development. The teacher will also be expected to develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents, contributing to and benefiting from the campus community. Professionalism is key, and the Yoga Teacher will engage in ongoing professional development, reflection, and continuous improvement to enhance their teaching practice. This role also includes significant student mentoring, providing guidance and support to help students navigate their academic and emotional challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and certification to teach yoga, with at least 200 hours of Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) training. The ability to teach yoga with only verbal adjustments, without physical adjustments, is essential. Additional education in nutrition and meditation is a plus, as is experience working with students with learning differences and ADHD. The candidate should be outgoing, well-organized, and competent in basic computer skills, eager to work in a dynamic and energetic school setting. Immediate readiness to teach and tutor material at a high school level is required.
