About the position
The YouTube Video Producer for The War Zone (TWZ) is responsible for the end-to-end production of video content for the TWZ YouTube channel. This role involves pitching, writing, voicing, editing, and managing video projects to enhance the channel's growth and engagement. The producer will work closely with the Editor in Chief to maintain a fast-paced production schedule and ensure the content aligns with the brand's voice and audience expectations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and adhere to production and posting schedule.
- Manage and coordinate with TWZ EIC and other collaborators to meet target deadlines and posting dates.
- Write video scripts (~20min rt).
- Record Voice Over narration.
- Edit videos and apply simple graphics, titles and other elements.
- Coordinate and collaborate with outside GFX artist when needed.
- Gather and apply needed assets (stock, templates, animations, etc) within specified budget.
- Track YouTube analytics and audience data to report and apply to creative execution.
- Track and report YouTube financial data and trends and forecast future earnings.
- Fact check and QC all video components for absolute accuracy.
- Maintain ownership over YouTube page operations (posting, titling, tagging, boosting/ SEO, rights issues, etc).
- Engage with TWZ audience through YouTube comments (curating when needed).
Requirements
- Military experience and veterans are highly encouraged to apply.
- 5+ Years of professional experience in creative writing, production and video editing.
- Experience providing voiceover narration to video and/or radio projects (having a reel is preferred).
- 5+ Years of experience video editing using Premiere Pro or other video editing software.
- Working knowledge of After Effects.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multi-level stakeholders to elicit cohesion and adherence to timelines and guidelines.
