About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist for YoungLives is responsible for managing the organization's social media presence, enhancing its digital footprint, and creating engaging content. This part-time role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure a consistent brand message across all digital platforms, while also engaging with the community and tracking the effectiveness of marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all YoungLives social media accounts, including strategy, content production, planning, and posting.
  • Engage with social media followers, acting as the public voice of YoungLives, facilitating conversations, and fostering engagement.
  • Utilize analytic tools to track total reach, and identify trends, key influencers, and opportunities for engagement.
  • Stay updated on new social marketing technologies and trends to keep strategies current and effective.
  • Finalize updates for the website in collaboration with the Operations Manager and MarCom team to prepare it for completion and launch.
  • Develop strategies to improve all digital touchpoints, including website, social media, and email platforms.
  • Ensure the digital brand is consistently managed across various platforms (social, web, and email).
  • Manage and update the Staff Resources Page, ensuring current and accurate information.
  • Assist with the production of newsletters and ongoing email updates.
  • Collaborate with videographers to produce and update key videos, such as those for the Adult Guest program and Church Collaboration.
  • Design graphics for both web and print use as needed.
  • Assist in improving and executing email marketing strategies.
  • Work on special digital and marketing projects as needed.
  • Maintain and update the media library, ensuring Dropbox contains the latest content, including camp photos and videos.
  • Compile stories and media shared via platforms like Cognito into a comprehensive document.
  • Translate materials into Spanish as needed to reach broader audiences.
  • Support Development initiatives like the Thanksgiving 5K and Giving Tuesday Match Opportunity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience with digital marketing tools, including Microsoft Content Management Systems, SharePoint, Canva, Emma, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with online marketing and a strong understanding of the social media landscape is essential.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in content creation, graphic design, and proofreading is highly desirable.
  • Previous involvement with a YoungLives ministry is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with video production and editing.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Ability to create engaging content tailored for different platforms.
