About the position

The Youth / Assistant Pastor at Orchard Community Church plays a vital role in supporting the Senior Pastor and leading the youth ministry. This position focuses on making and nurturing fully devoted followers of Christ through the gospel, emphasizing teaching, discipleship, and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Lead the youth ministry, including teaching, lesson preparation, and weekly youth group or Sunday School sessions.
• Disciple and counsel students and parents individually or in small groups.
• Develop and coordinate volunteer leaders for the youth ministry.
• Handle administrative tasks such as planning, scheduling, and communication.
• Assist the Senior Pastor in planning and implementing the overall discipleship and ministry strategy of the church.
• Support the Senior Pastor with specific needs, including administration, counseling, visitation, and special events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bible, Theology, or Ministry (or equivalent experience).
• A strong belief in the need for salvation through Jesus Christ and a commitment to building followers of Christ.
• Passion for teaching Scripture in a relevant and applicable manner.
• A love for youth and a desire to help them grow in their relationship with Christ.
• Ability to integrate youth ministry with the overall church ministry.
• Commitment to developing and working with volunteer leaders.
• Humble, teachable, and eager to learn and serve Christ better.
