About the position
The Youth Engagement Manager will lead recruitment and enrollment efforts for youth programs within the Tenderloin Community Benefit District. This role focuses on engaging youth in community activities, ensuring their participation in events, and providing ongoing support. The manager will work closely with the Youth Leadership Manager and report to the Director of Parks, overseeing operations related to youth engagement in various community settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts for the Youth Voice program.
- Conduct outreach in high-density housing complexes, parks, and schools.
- Collaborate with the Youth Leadership Manager to ensure seamless transition from recruitment to program participation.
- Provide ongoing support and engagement with program participants.
- Manage daily operations related to youth engagement activities in the parks and other locations.
- Represent TLCBD at community and recruiting events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 3+ years of experience in youth program management, community outreach, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to work with a diverse, multicultural population.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficient in using digital platforms for engagement and outreach.
- Basic proficiency in Canva.
