About The Position

The Cape Cod Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention (YMCI) Director plays a pivotal role in the planning, development, ongoing operation, and evaluation of mobile crisis intervention services for youth and families within the Cape Cod area. This position is situated within an Urgent Care Center that provides on-site assessments and support, as well as mobile capabilities to conduct assessments at various locations including homes, schools, or agencies. The Director is responsible for ensuring that the needs of clients are met through effective collaboration with clients, family members, police, community partners, and the mobile crisis team. This role requires a professional, hopeful, and respectful approach to crisis intervention, aligning with Bay Cove's mission to support individuals facing various challenges. In this supervisory capacity, the YMCI Director will oversee the staff of the YMCI program, which includes Family Partners, Clinical Interns, and other staff as needed. The Director will provide clinical and administrative supervision, which encompasses hiring, training, conducting evaluations, and supporting the professional development of staff members. Additionally, the Director will conduct assessments and oversee ongoing case management for active mobile crisis intervention cases, ensuring that all tasks are completed, follow-ups are conducted, and case assignments are managed effectively. The Director will also partner with stakeholders in an integrated urgent care/mobile crisis network serving the Cape Cod area, working collaboratively to develop and operate community-based crisis care and response systems that adhere to best practice guidelines in emergency behavioral health care. This includes providing expert leadership throughout the evaluation process, which involves assessment, treatment planning, risk and safety planning, and mental status examinations specific to acute psychiatric conditions for both children and adults. The Director will be responsible for providing consultation to the team regarding behavioral health services and ensuring that the appropriate resources are matched to the needs of individuals in crisis. On a rotational basis, the Director will provide on-call coverage for clinical or administrative emergencies and will perform all other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
