About the position
The Youth Program Coordinator at OptionZero LLC is responsible for developing and implementing programs that engage and support young individuals in the community. This part-time role requires a dynamic leader who can foster positive relationships, promote healthy lifestyles, and provide guidance to youth. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience in program development, and a commitment to public health and youth empowerment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging programs tailored to the needs of youth in the community.
- Supervise and mentor program participants, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting on program outcomes.
- Utilize social media platforms for outreach, engagement, and promotion of youth initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform future development.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance resources available to youth.
- Conduct fundraising activities to support program sustainability.
- Recruit volunteers and staff as needed to support program operations.
- Provide leadership during events and activities, ensuring all participants are engaged.
Requirements
- Proven experience in administrative roles with strong organizational skills.
- Background in program development or related fields is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams or volunteers.
- Familiarity with social media management for outreach purposes.
- Knowledge of data collection methods for evaluating program success.
- Experience or training in addiction counseling is a plus.
- Understanding of public health principles as they relate to youth programming.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups of young people.
- Passion for working with youth and commitment to their development.
