About the position

The Youth Program Coordinator at Atlanta Hustle is an entry-level position focused on expanding youth programming into a year-round initiative. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing various programs aimed at fostering growth, building community, and promoting ultimate frisbee among young athletes. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports and youth development, and is committed to creating positive experiences for participants.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and running youth programs, including summer camps, winter academies, and community events.
• Help develop and refine program schedules and activities to ensure they are engaging and aligned with the Atlanta Hustle's mission.
• Coordinate equipment and supplies needed for programs.
• Act as a point of contact for participants and families during programs, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.
• Help maintain communication with parents, providing updates and information as needed.
• Support the creation of social media posts, flyers, and email communications to promote youth programs.
• Attend community events to represent the Hustle and connect with potential participants.
• Assist with program registration and data entry.
• Help track attendance and gather feedback from participants to improve future programming.

Requirements

• Passion for youth sports and/or ultimate frisbee.
• Strong communication skills, particularly with parents and young athletes.
• Basic organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with youth programs or camps.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and Canva.
• Basic understanding of photography or video creation for promotional purposes.
