About the position

The Youth Programs Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark & Simi Valley is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Clubhouse facility. This role focuses on program development, staff supervision, community relations, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for youth. The coordinator will lead initiatives that prepare youth for success and foster a positive Club atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement Club programs, activities, and services that impact the lives of Club members.
  • Recruit and maintain Club members to maximize Club impact and facility capacity.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe environment, maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clubhouse programs and services to meet member needs.
  • Manage site resources and ensure proper care of Club equipment and supplies.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for staff and volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, parents, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate marketing and public relations efforts to increase program visibility.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
  • Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision and facilities management.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff.
  • Valid CA Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • First Aid/CPR certification required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
  • Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
