About the position
The Youth Programs Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark & Simi Valley is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Clubhouse facility. This role focuses on program development, staff supervision, community relations, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for youth. The coordinator will lead initiatives that prepare youth for success and foster a positive Club atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement Club programs, activities, and services that impact the lives of Club members.
- Recruit and maintain Club members to maximize Club impact and facility capacity.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols.
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clubhouse programs and services to meet member needs.
- Manage site resources and ensure proper care of Club equipment and supplies.
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff and volunteers.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, parents, and community organizations.
- Coordinate marketing and public relations efforts to increase program visibility.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
- Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision and facilities management.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff.
- Valid CA Driver's License with a good driving record.
- First Aid/CPR certification required.

- Experience in planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
- Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
