About the position

The Youth Soccer Coach position at OVF Alliance involves coaching youth soccer players aged 5 to 18 years. The role includes various coaching opportunities such as head coaching for competitive teams, assisting coaches for pre-competitive and competitive teams, and coaching for camps and clinics. This is a part-time, seasonal, and contract position that requires a commitment to youth development and effective communication with players, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the game of soccer.
  • Work with elementary, junior high, or high school-aged children.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.
  • Lift and move goals, training gear, and other equipment as needed.
  • Assist in coaching competitive teams and recreational programs.
  • Participate in camps and clinics as a coach.

Requirements

  • Spanish Teaching Certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with middle schoolers
  • Organizational skills
  • Classroom experience
  • Teaching Soccer
  • Grassroots level coaching qualification (or willingness to pursue further education)
  • Ability to pass a background check and complete a youth safety course
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds or more.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior coaching experience in soccer
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for youth development and character building in young players.
