About the position
The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for performing coordination duties regarding recreational, educational, instructional, and sporting activities and events. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of volunteers, summer youth program staff, and patrons engaged in city-sponsored and organized recreational, educational, instructional, and sporting activities and events.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates recreational, educational, instructional, and sporting activities and events
- Oversees and coordinates activities of volunteers, summer youth program staff, and patrons
- Ensures compliance with city policies and procedures
- Develops and implements programs to promote community engagement and participation
- Collaborates with other city departments to ensure coordination and efficiency
- Manages budgets and resources to ensure effective use of funds
- Provides excellent customer service to patrons and stakeholders
