About the position

The YouthWorks Program Development and Training Support Specialist at Commonwealth Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting the research, design, development, and evaluation of the YouthWorks program's curriculum and training initiatives. This position is focused on enhancing the skills of youth and young adults through effective program delivery and collaboration with various partners in workforce development. The specialist will manage the Learning Management System (LMS), facilitate training sessions, and contribute to the overall success of the program aimed at empowering vulnerable populations in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

  • Support administration of the YouthWorks Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Research and design curriculum tools and resources for effective delivery of career and work readiness content
  • Facilitate the demonstration of learning modules and provide feedback during debriefing conversations
  • Support assessment and evaluation to ensure data-driven instruction
  • Coordinate Signal Success and other programming training
  • Review and revise curriculum content based on participant data and expert feedback
  • Provide training and program readiness support to field and internal staff
  • Document program standard operating procedures
  • Lead workshops and training for participants as assigned
  • Contribute to team projects and other organizational departments as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in workforce development, instructional design, technical writing, and teaching
  • Experience with ADDIE or other curriculum design models
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience in developing and delivering curriculum to youth/young adults
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the state of MA

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
  • ADT certification is a plus
  • Experience coaching and/or training student and young adult learners in both in-person and virtual settings
