About the position

The Zales Line Concierge position is a seasonal support role aimed at enhancing customer experience in the retail jewelry environment. The role focuses on managing customer traffic, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. The Line Concierge will assist in creating a Customer First culture by effectively coordinating appointments and managing the flow of customers in the store.

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily administrative and clerical duties related to traffic queuing, appointment coordination, and customer service.
  • Inputs customer contact information into Clienteling from daily appointment tracker and walk-in traffic lists for future outreach.
  • Assists in overall flow of traffic and line queueing, maximizing customer experience for both scheduled appointments and walk-in customers.
  • Greets and welcomes every customer, identifying their intent and directing them to the appropriate jewelry consultant or line.
  • Encourages customers who cannot wait to make an appointment with the virtual team or schedule for a future date.
  • Directs customers to the appropriate line and reviews social distancing guidance.
  • Enforces local occupancy limits and assists in rerouting customers to the virtual workforce as applicable.
  • Manages the Daily Appointment Tracker and Walk In Traffic lists to assist with checking people in for appointments or taking new appointments.
  • Acknowledges appointments as 'show' or 'no show' in Clienteling as customers check in for appointments.
  • Assists with in-store fulfillment initiatives and outbound shipments utilizing carriers as directed.
  • Adheres to all established health & safety, security, and loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Assists with general office duties as required and cleaning protocols between customer interactions.
  • Answers the store telephone as needed and performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and basic computer skills.
